NEW DELHI : The Union Cabinet today approved the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.
The proposals were cleared at a Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to sources, the new pay scales would come into force from January 1, 2016.
However, details of the proposals approved by the Cabinet would be announced at a media briefing, to be held shortly. (AGENCIES)
