JAMMU, Apr 25: The new prantiya and branch-level office bearers of the Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) was elected here today.
The event was graced by Dr Gautam Mengi, prant sangh chalak, RSS, who presided over the proceedings.
Outgoing UT president, Bharat Bhushan Sharma delivered the welcome address, while outgoing general secretary, Shivram Sharma presented the annual report.
Sunita Gupta gave a comprehensive financial report.
During the function, Sunita Gupta was nominated as the new UT president, Ramesh Sharma as UT general secretary and Rakesh Sharma as the finance secretary.
Branch-level office bearers also took their oaths during the event.
The newly elected team shared their vision for the future, emphasizing the promotion of patriotism, mutual brotherhood, peace and societal welfare.
I D Soni, Patron in his address urged the parishad to focus on need-based welfare projects that directly benefit the community.
Among others who attended the ceremony included Arun Sharma, Amita Sharma, Sunita Mahajan, Rajesh Baru and Prof Bharat Bhushan.
The newly appointed executive body members included Ashok Gupta and Satpal Sharma (vice presidents), Rajesh Gupta (organizing secretary), Pratibha Dutta (sampark pramukh), Aarti Sharma (Mahila pramukh), Gurmeet Singh (sewa pramukh), Gopal Gupta (Environment pramukh) and Rajni Gupta (sanskar pramukh).
