JAMMU, Dec 12: Traffic Police Rural Jammu has registered an FIR against a bus driver after he was seen in a viral video performing dangerous stunt on the Mughal Road.
In the clip, that has gone viral, the driver could be seen repeatedly taking his hands off the steering wheel and dancing while driving a passenger bus, reportedly carrying students on a picnic on the Mughal Road near Chandimarh. The incident created panic among the general public.
Taking strong note of the incident, the SSP Traffic Rural Jammu Farooq Qaiser ordered an enquiry through the DTI Poonch.
During the verification, the police identified the vehicle and confirmed the driver involved in the reckless act.
Accordingly, the Traffic Police Rural Jammu booked the accused bus driver under sections 3, 181, 184, and 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act and seized the bus (JK12C-9247) for dangerous driving and related offences.
The findings were also shared with SSP Poonch, who directed the registration of FIR number 284/2025 under sections 281 and 125 of the BNS, read with section 184 of the MV Act registered at Police Station Surankote.
The driver, identified as Ramzan Ali alias Chuni of Dhargloon, Mendhar has been arrested for further investigation.
The SSP Traffic Rural Jammu has also urged the general public to remain alert and report any instance of dangerous or illegal driving that could risk public safety. He assured that strict action will be taken against the violators.
