RAJOURI, Nov 24: The police today arrested two drug- peddlers and recovered 110 gms of heroin from their possession at Old Bus Stand here today.
A police spokesman said that acting on the basis of a specific information provided by SOG Rajouri, a police party led by SHO Tahir Khan conducted raid at Old Bus Stand and entered bus No. JK02AA/3279. During search of driver they recovered 60 gms of heroin. His associate tried to escape but he too, was over powered and 50 gm heroin was recovered from his possession. Both were arrested and the contraband material was seized by police from them.
They were identified as bus driver- Mohd Junaid, son of Mohd Aslam, resident of village Peer Badessar near LoC and Imran Zari, son of Abdul Shakoor Zari, resident of Ward No. 8, Rajouri.
The police placed both of them behind the bars at local Police Station and registered a case FIR No. 521/ 2017 under Sections 8/20, 21, 22 NDPS Act against them. Further investigation was in progress.
