JAMMU, Dec 12: One person was killed while seven others injured in a head on collision between a bus and a tipper on Jammu Akhnoor Road at Dhiaran near Mishriwala.
In the accident, eight persons were injured, of which two were shifted to Government Hospital, Akhnoor while six others including the conductor of the bus were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where bus-conductor who has been identified as Manga Ram (35) son of Des Raj, a resident of Kateel (Akhnoor), was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The other five injured persons shifted in GMCH are Sharda Devi (45), wife of Sher Singh, resident of Jourian, Chandra Prabha (44), wife of Ajit Sharma, resident of Dream City (Muthi), Ashok Sharma (46), son of Nek Ram, resident of Ratanpur (Jourian), his mother, Darshna Devi (70) and Ashok Kumar (45) son of Kartar Chand, a resident of Rajwal.
The accident occurred when a speeding bus bearing registration No JK02M-5375 which was on its way from Jammu to Akhnoor, collided head on with a tipper (having registration No JK02AY-8045), this evening.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Kanachak and further investigations are on.
