JAMMU, Apr 8: Samba Police worked out the burglary case with the arrest of kingpin and recovery of stolen items including gold ornaments from his possession.
Acting over the complaint, cases under FIR Number 153/18 U/S 454/380 RPC & FIR No. 157/18 U/S 454/380 RPC were registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. Police said it constituted a special team to apprehend the accused person involved in this crime and who was decamping with gold ornaments. During the course of investigation, special team rounded up several suspects and finally succeeded in arresting the thief, who during the investigation confessed his involvement in execution of crime.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Ayoob, S/o Shams Din, R/O Nagna Shandra tehsil Basohli district Kathua. On his disclosure, stolen items including two pairs gold Kangan, two pair gold ear rings, two pairs of gold rings, one pair of ear tops were recovered. Further questioning of the accused is going on and more arrests in the case can’t be ruled out, police said.
