JAMMU, July 1: In a first of its kind incidents, unidentified burglars targeted a Government school in Gorkha Nagar locality here and decamped with Mid Day Meal cylinders and utensils worth approximately Rs 20-25000.
Cooks of Government Middle School Gorkha Nagar noticed the locks of their kitchen broken during a routine visit to the institution, and accordingly informed the police, locals said.
During assessment of the losses in the presence of the police team, they found the LPG cylinders, steel buckets, plates, bowls, glasses, and other kitchen utensils worth approximately Rs 20-25000 stolen, they said.
No FIR had been registered in the matter until the press time as police were verifying the facts.
