The Police was also examining CCTV footage of few shops. It indicated that burglars appeared to be 3-4 in number. One of them was wearing green cap and another a red jacket and jeans pants. One wearing black jacket was keeping an eye on the movement of people on the road. They had parked their vehicle in darkness at some distance and then started breaking shutters. The thefts took place between 1 am and 2.30 am, the police said.
There is strong resentment among the local traders against the police and district and sub divisional administration. They alleged that there is no night patrolling in the market and the town and the concerned police personnel should be held accountable for these thefts.
