JAMMU, Nov 11: All the hard work by a leading advocate of J&K High Court to reach solution for overcrowding and congestion in Jammu city was allegedly nullified by the bureaucrats here.
Advocate Rameshwar Singh Jamwal told reporters here today that he visited many areas and ultimately found 50,000 acre of land in Udhampur starting from Sudh Mahadev and extending till Lati Dhuna side or Duru Basantgarh for developing a city called ‘Vaikunth’-a planned city to provide quality life to many people.
He claimed that the proposed ‘Vaikunth’ included five sub-cities and the project was self sustaining with a lot of scope for employment to thousands of youths.
“After cold response from the J&K administration on my project I put a complaint at grievance cell of the Prime Minister which in turn referred the matter to J&K government whose reply stated that my proposal was rejected,” Jamwal said adding that no explanation was given for the rejection.
He said that this episode can be an eye opener for the Union Government which believes and makes the rest of country to believe that things have changed in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370.
Jamwal said that same set of officers, who were there when Roshni and other scams took place in J&K, are still ruling J&K Union Territory.
