NAGROTA, Oct 30: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari today appealed to the people of Nagrota to vote for the party candidate Bodh Raj Bhagat in the upcoming by-poll, promising equitable development and genuine representation for the constituency.
Addressing a rally attended by party leaders and workers, Bukhari criticised both the National Conference and the BJP for promoting divisive politics in Jammu and Kashmir.
He alleged that both parties have failed to protect the rights of the people and instead used communal issues for political gains.
Bukhari said the Apni Party believes in constructive politics focused on development, employment, and protection of people’s rights.
He reminded the gathering that his party had stood up for job and land protection of locals after the abrogation of J&K’s special status when others remained silent.
Questioning the performance of the NC-led Government, Bukhari said it has failed to deliver on promises even after completing a year in power.
He also criticised the bifurcation of J&K into two Union Territories, claiming it weakened local powers and benefited outsiders.
Urging voters to reject divisive politics, he said the Apni Party is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all regions of J&K.
He appealed to the people to support Bodh Raj Bhagat to strengthen development in Nagrota.
