JAMMU, Feb 16: Director Department of Floriculture Babila Rakwal today said the main purpose of taking over the building was to facelift the Ladies Club and make it suitable for the ladies to use it for various activities.
In a handout, Director informed that Ladies Club building constructed by PWD in 1997 at Zanana Park was handed over to Floriculture Department on November 3 last year for its face-lifting which was an outcome of decision taken during the Swachh Bharat Mission drive held in the park in the month of September 2017 by the Minister of State for Floriculture, Parks and Gardens.
“Therefore, the apprehension of the members of the Ladies Club that the department would be using the Ladies Club for setting up its own offices and activities is totally unfounded”, she said.
