SRINAGAR, Oct 21: Police today said a youth lost his life after drowning in Leh district of Ladakh Division.
A police spokesman said 23 year-old Bilal Ahmad Magrey of Chill Bros in Khansahib village Budgam district who was working with A to Z Company in Leh drowned in Indus River near Igg village.
“The body of deceased was fished out. After completion of legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regard,” the spokesman added.
