BTSM observes Sankalp Divas

JAMMU, Nov 14: Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) observed Sankalp Divas, in connection with the resolution passed on 14th November 1962 by both Houses of the Indian Parliament declaring India’s resolve to recover every inch of territory occupied by China.
The activists of Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) held a function here, today during which they strongly advocated the return of territories occupied by China, including Aksai Chin and cited the spirit of the 1962 Indian Parliamentary resolution.
The office bearers of the Manch said this resolution was adopted on November 14 in 1962, during Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru’s tenure, by the Indian Parliament, declaring India’s determination to recover every inch of territory occupied by China.
This resolution came in the aftermath of the Sino-Indian War (October-November 1962), in which China had occupied large portions of Indian territory, notably Aksai Chin in Ladakh. The resolution was passed during a heated Parliamentary debate following the ceasefire announced by China, they added.
