JAMMU, Mar 25: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of State president, Tulsi Dass Langeh , expressed grave concern over the stand of NC-Congress Coalition Government in the State led by Omar Abdullah and PDP led by Mehbooba Mufti and Mufti Mohd Sayeed, regarding withdrawl of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA).
Langeh said that we failto understand the strategy of State Government and opposition PDP, which are demanding withdrawl of AFSPA at the time when militancy is increasing day by day in the State particularly in Kashmir valley.
The BSP leader said that these political parties are raising the issue of withdrawl of AFSPA only to please the separatist groups just to garner their support at the time of elections.
He appealed the people to remain vigilant from such political parties, which are sacrificing the national interest for their petty political interest.
The meeting resolved that prior to withdrawl of AFSPA, the security of leaders of such political parties should be withdrawn.
