JAMMU, Apr 4: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has announced that it will observe Bhaagidari Diwas on April 19 to honor the legacy of the architect of the Indian Constitution, Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
In this connection, BSP State president Darshan Rana today visited villages including Nandpur, Karel and Pandoria, where he addressed party workers and encouraged them to ensure maximum participation in April 14 district-level programs to celebrate birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
He emphasized that these celebrations are not just about paying tribute to Baba Saheb, but also about spreading awareness of his ideals and contributions to Indian society. “April 14 will be celebrated with enthusiasm across districts. Every worker should participate actively and pay tribute to Baba Saheb on behalf of the party,” Rana said during one of the meetings.
Further, he highlighted that April 19 will be observed as Bhaagidari Diwas, a day dedicated to discussing the life and thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar. The initiative aims to inspire the youth to adopt his progressive vision and values. Thousands of party workers are expected to take part in this event.
