JAMMU, Dec 5: National general secretary of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Narender Kashyap has claimed that BSP will hold key in Government formation in the State and the party is sure to cross double figure this time.
Addressing press conference here today Mr Kashyap said that BSP would play crucial role in the formation of next Government as no party would get clear mandate in the Assembly elections  in Jammu and Kashmir. The party is sure to achieve its target of becoming ‘centre of the power’ after poll results are declared.
While replying to a question, Mr Kashyap said that party as per its new strategy is focusing on the seats where it has more chances of winning and had lost with narrow margin during previous elections. Party is hopeful to reach double figure this time.
Referring to the high turn out during first and second phase of polling, the BSP leader said that this high turn out  indicates that people have voted against the ruling alliance and they want change. It is also due to increasing  faith of the people in democracy. The people want alternative and they have voted against ruling parties. He criticized BJP led Government at the Centre for not providing adequate relief to the flood victims in the State. He alleged that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi made hollow claims of help to J&K people but did not provide even Rs 1,000 crore relief.
Referring to the proposed visit of national president of the Party Mayawati to Jammu, Kashyap said that earlier rally was scheduled to take place at Mini Stadium  Parade but the District Administration did not permit. He claimed that massive party meeting of BSP will be held at MA Stadium at 11 am on December 7 ( Sunday). A large number of people are expected to participate in Mayawati’s rally.
