JAMMU, Jan 30: A comprehensive organizational review meeting of the Chhamb and Akhnoor Vidhan Sabha constituencies was held today under the leadership of Darshan Rana, president, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the J&K unit of the party. The meeting was aimed at assessing the current organizational structure, evaluating ground-level outreach, and chalking out a future roadmap for strengthening the party in the region.
While addressing party leaders and workers, Rana laid strong emphasis on reinforcing the BSP organization at the Vidhan Sabha and booth levels, describing grassroot connectivity as the backbone of sustainable political growth. He urged party cadres to move beyond formal meetings and engage directly with the people, especially those from marginalized, backward, and deprived sections of society.
Highlighting BSP’s ideological foundation, he reiterated that the party’s mission is rooted in social justice, equality, dignity, and the constitutional values envisioned by Dr BR Ambedkar. He stressed that continuous public engagement, issue-based dialogue, and awareness campaigns are essential to ensure that the voices of the oppressed and neglected communities are effectively represented in the political discourse.
Rana further stated that strengthening the party at the grassroot level would not only expand BSP’s organizational footprint but also empower common citizens to participate actively in democratic processes.
During the meeting, vice president Charnjit Chargotra, Zone Coordinator Darshan Thapa, along with Sanjeev Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Chittar Mannu, Akshay Kumar, and other senior party leaders and workers, shared their insights. Discussions focused on organizational challenges, booth-level restructuring, cadre development, voter outreach strategies, and expanding BSP’s influence among youth, workers, and socially marginalized communities.
The speakers collectively underlined the need for disciplined organizational functioning, regular constituency-level reviews, and coordinated efforts to translate BSP’s ideology into meaningful action on the ground. The meeting resolved to intensify organizational activities in Chhamb and Akhnoor, strengthen the party structure at every level and mobilize people through sustained political awareness.
