JAMMU, June 5: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) organised meetings in different parts of Marh, Jammu East and Jammu South Assembly constituencies on Thursday as a part of its membership drive being run across the JKUT and to make people aware of the party policies, more and more people were connected to the party.
During these meetings, which were presided over by Bahujan Samaj Party J&K president Darshan Rana, zone coordinator Darshan Thapa, District president Tarsem Lal, general secretary, Raja Singh, senior leader Swarn Lata, Pooja Meenia and District coordinator Jagdish Bhagat, along with a large number of party workers were present during these programmes.
Tributes were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath on his death anniversary and his contribution in getting reservation for Dalits and Backward Class people was also highlighted. A
ddressing the meeting on this occasion, BSP president Darshan Rana said that Bahujan Samaj Party is running a membership campaign across the country and under the same series, more and more people are being added to the party by giving momentum to this campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that today by organizing meetings in different areas falling under Madh, Jammu South and Jammu East Assembly Constituencies, people have been made aware of the party’s policies and dozens of people have also been given party membership.
Rana said that in the coming days also more and more people will be added to the party by organizing such meetings. On this occasion, party’s district president Tarsem Singh, general secretary Raja Singh, Swarn Lata and others also expressed their views and said that the BSP’s aim is to reach out to the people and listen to their problems and solve them. He appealed especially to the women to come out for their rights.
