JAMMU, June 15: In order to strengthen the party in Jammu & Kashmir, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) central coordinators, Dharamvir Singh Ashok and Daya Chand, who were on a visit to Jammu & Kashmir, held the meetings with party workers in Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur as well as other districts of Jammu Division.
On this occasion, Party president Darshan Rana as well as other senior Leaders of the party were present.
Speaking on the occasion, central coordinator and former Minister Dharamvir Singh Ashok said, “There is a need to work with full hard work to strengthen Bahujan Samaj Party in Jammu Kashmir. In the Assembly elections held in J&K in the year 1996, Bahujan Samaj Party had won four Assembly seats and BSP candidates had lost the elections on seven such assembly seats by a margin of just a few votes.”
‘In order to strengthen the party once again party workers will have to play their active role so that the party can come forward strongly in all the upcoming elections,” he said.
Ashok said that all the governments that have been in power in J&K till date have always adopted a discriminatory policy towards the Jammu division. If the Bahujan Samaj Party comes to power then working for the development of the state as well as the betterment of every section of the society will be the party’s priority.
The party’s central in-charge, Daya Chand said that the time has come to bring the party back to the era of 1996 and for this the party workers will have to work with full hard work.
The party’s Jammu Kashmir president Darshan Rana said that continuous efforts are being made to strengthen BSP and more and more people are being associated with the party under the membership campaign. During the meeting other party leaders also gave their suggestions.
