JAMMU, Feb 27: The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) Committee of Government Degree College (GDC), Marh, organized a two-day orientation programme for the Rangers and Rovers of the college in collaboration with JK Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The programme was conducted by Asha Kumari and Dr. Priya Sharma, Unit Leaders, under the guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the College.
The resource persons were R.P Kotwal, State Commissioner; Harun Malik, Trainer and Madan Lal, Trainer, from State Headquarters of BS&G and they delivered comprehensive and enlightening sessions, emphasizing the principles, activities and significance of the scouting and guiding movement in character building and leadership development.
The inaugural session commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp. Senior-most faculty member, Prof. Anita Sharma, graced the occasion with her presence. Prof. Imtiaz Shahid, Coordinator, IQAC, delivered welcome address.
Prof. Madhvi Prashar apprised the participants about the objectives and activities of Bharat Scouts and Guides.
Dr. Ram Dayal, Prof. Sachin Bhagat and Dr. Sheetal Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Malti Rajput.
Dr. Priya Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
