NOWSHERA, July 29: The dead body of BSF Dy Commandant Tarun Gupta which was recovered from a nallah in Beri Pattan area last evening, was cremated at Sunderbani today.
The family members of the BSF officer had already reached at Sunderbani from Udaipur in Rajasthan after they came to know about missing of the officer and his driver after their Gypsy was washed away in a Nallah near the LoC. After performing legal formalities at Sunderbani, the body of Tarun Gupta was cremated with full force honours in presence of senior officers of the BSF and local administration this afternoon.
IG BSF from Force Headquarters, Delhi, S K Mishra, DIG J S Oberoi, DIG N S Jamwal, DIG R S Kataria, SDM Nowshera Rajinder Khajuria, Additional SP Nowshera Parshotam Kumar Sharma and Tehsildar joined the funeral and cremation of the officer.
