REASI, June 20: A BSF Jawan committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan at his residence, here today.
The deceased BSF Jawan, identified as Bachan Singh (34 years), son of Gandarv Singh, resident of Geeta Nagar Reasi, was found hanging in his house at Geeta Nagar.
As per the information, family member noticed him hanging when they went inside the room to give him food in the afternoon. They immediately shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where but doctors declared him as brought dead.
After postmortem, the dead body was handed over to the legal heirs for last rites. Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
