BHADARWAH, July 14: In its efforts to boost tourism by improving road network to the high altitude destinations, BRO (Border Roads Organisation) here today started blacktopping of Bhadarwah-Jaie road.
Jaie valley located at a height of 7850 feet above sea level, is a famous tourist destination and everyday hundreds of visitors visit in the vast grasslands surrounded by thick pine trees with gushing stream flowing through the meadows there.
To make the journey more comfortable and safe, BRO has started blacktopping of the road leading to Jaie valley.
“Jaie valley is the major tourist destination of summers like Guldanda is in winters. Whoever visits Bhadarwah prefers to go to Jaie first, although the road to the high-altitude grassland was in good condition except some patches but still to make the journey more enjoyable for the visitors, BRO has started blacktopping of the road,” said DC Doda, Harvinder Singh adding: “This will surely give a major boost to the tourism industry and in coming days it can emerge as an important parameter of Bhadarwah-Jaie-Gandoh tourist circle.”
