JAMMU, Nov 5: Welcoming the Prime Minister,  Narendra Modi to Jammu and Kashmir State, Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) today asked the PM to take some concrete steps so that discrimination with Jammu region is removed.
Talking to media-persons here today DSS president and former Minister, Th Gulchain Singh Charak said  though Jammu region contributed a lot towards the welfare of this country in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular, yet this region is waiting to get its due share in development and other fields.
“While all hue and cry is being raised to woo the Prime Minister to announce a healthy economic package for the flood victims of Kashmir, none is worried to highlight the miseries of border residents who are suffering worst due to the firing from Pakistani side,” Mr Charak Said.
He further said that none of the State leaders have demanded compensation for these victims of border firing. He also said that nothing has been done for the sufferers of flash floods in Jammu region except a cruel joke with them by distributing the cheques for Rs 89 or so per head for the same and no proper compensation for them is demanded by the tall leaders of the present PDP-BJP dispensation.

The age old communal harmony of this region is in danger, inimical forces are bent upon vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of this region by hurting their religious sentiments through their touts in the State.
“Accession Day of the State is being observed as Black Day by certain anti-national elements, every day Pakistani and ISIS flags are being hoisted and everything is being done to enhance anti-India and anti-Jammu propaganda while the authorities appears to be in deep slumber,” Mr  Charak maintained.
Mr Charak appealed the Prime Minister to take some effective steps so that nationalist people of the State should stop thinking that the sacrifices rendered by the great martyrs of their soil are going waste.  NK Dogra,  vice president,  Prem Sagar Gupta, general secretary  and  Gambhir Dev Singh, incharge Youth wing were also present.
