Bride kidnapped in filmy style recovered, accused arrested

JAMMU, Nov 21: Bishnah police recovered a bride from New Delhi, who was kidnapped in a filmy style by two persons on the day of her marriage few days back and arrested the main accused.
As per police sources, on November 17, a person lodged a complaint with police station Bishnah stating that her daughter was kidnapped by two persons carrying sharp-edged weapons during her marriage ceremony. The complainant identified the main accused as Pardeep, son of Subash Chander of Rehal.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 172/16 under Section 452, 366, 380/34 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Bishnah and manhunt was launched to trace-out the bride and arrest the accused.
Based on reliable information, a team from Bishnah police station conducted raid in a hotel at Paharganj, New Delhi and traced-out the kidnapped bride. The accused person namely Pardeep tried to escape from the spot, but cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
The kidnapped bride & the accused were brought back to Jammu for further questioning.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Paramjeet Singh traced-out the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Kumar and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
