JAMMU, Nov 27: The Indian Branch of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation United Kingdom (BRHF), under the leadership of its National President Rajesh Bagha, celebrated Sat Paul, a UK citizen of Indian origin, prominent social activist and retired Justice of Peace (JP), on being conferred the prestigious Member of the British Empire (MBE) Award by the Prince of Wales.
This honour was bestowed upon Sat Paul in recognition of his exceptional contributions towards social empowerment and community development. Sat Paul, who is also the Secretary of the British Ravidassia Heritage Foundation UK, has long been associated with various social, cultural, and religious activities.
During the celebration event at Jalandhar, BRHF Chairman Om Prakash Bagha, India Branch President Rajesh Bagha, and BRHF India Branch General Secretary Balbir Ram Rattan felicitated Sat Paul. Representatives of various social, religious, and community organisations from India and abroad, participated in the event.
Expressing gratitude to BRHF, Sat Paul said that this honour is the result of the community’s faith and blessings. He stated that he would continue working with the same enthusiasm for the welfare of society.
Rajesh Bagha, former Chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, Vice President of BJP Punjab, Chief Patron of Pathway Global Alliance, and National President of BRHF India Branch, said that personalities like Sat Paul are the true identity of the community.
General Secretary Balbir Ram Rattan said that Sat Paul’s services have been extremely important in connecting and empowering the community at the international level.
After the felicitation ceremony, senior office bearers of the Heritage Foundation also discussed programmes planned for the 650th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Ravidass Ji.
