JAMMU, Aug 23: Brahma Kumaris here today in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department GMC and SMGS Hospital Jammu, successfully organized a blood donation camp at Om Shanti Meditation Centre, Rehari Chungi.
This noble initiative coincides with the 18th Smriti Divas of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani Ji, the former Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris.
The camp was inaugurated by Yudhvir Sethi, MLA in the presence of Brahma Kumari Sudarshan (I/C Brahma Kumaris J&K/Ladakh), Arvind Gupta, MLA, Ravinder and volunteers.
Speaking on the occasion Yudhvir Sethi emphasized the importance of selfless service and community participation.
Sudarshan said the blood donation camp is a tribute to the legacy of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani Ji, who embodied the principles of love, service and unity.
Many people came forward with the spirit of service and donated blood for the noble cause.
Ravinder, executive member of Social Service Wing Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation said the event was organised to promote the spirit of compassion, service and unity in the society by collecting blood units for those in need.
He informed that from August 22 to 25, more than 1500 Brahma Kumari service centers across the nation will organize large-scale blood donation camps.
A handout stated that under this campaign, the target has been set to donate 1 lakh units of blood, which will set a Guinness World Record.
