UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: An 11-year-old boy was injured in an accidental fire which took place while he was playing with a country-made licensed weapon at his house in village Kalsote in Panchari block of Udhampur.
The victim was identified as Jarnail Chand, son of Som Raj. He was playing with a country-made licensed weapon which went off injuring him in the thigh late last night. The family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu for treatment.
Police could not take statement of the victim as he was not fit for the same while a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
