RAJOURI, Oct 5: A teen-aged boy drowned in the river in Rajouri area on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Asif Ali (17), son of Wazir Ali, resident of Kotedhara. The incident took place when the boy had gone to bath in the river near Darhali bridge in Rajouri area today.
A police team, led by SHO Rajouri, Abid Hussain Shah, rushed to the spot after coming to know about the matter. The police with the help of locals recovered the body and shifted it to GMC Rajouri for postmortem examination.
This marks the second drowning incident in the same river within two days, as another boy had drowned on Saturday.
