POONCH, June 6: A 15-years-old boy drowned today in Plera area of tehsil Mandi in Poonch district, whose dead body was handed over to family after legal formalities.
Official sources said that the boy identified as Bilal Ahmed, son of Wali Mohd was bathing in river, near his house at Plera when he suddenly drowned and died on the spot. His body was recovered and taken to Sub District Hospital, Mandi.
Doctors said that the boy was brought dead. All the legal formalities were performed here and later dead body was handed over to family members through police for last rites. Station House Officer Mandi, Sham Lal confirmed the accidental drowning incident.
