RAJOURI, Apr 10: Security forces today recovered a suspected IED-type box containing two grenades in Thandapani area of Rajouri district, prompting authorities to cordon off the area.
Reports said some locals spotted suspicious material in Thandapani area of Sunderbani sector, following which security personnel rushed to the spot and secured the area.
The suspected explosive material, containing two grenades sealed in a box, was found lying near a water body. A bomb disposal squad was called to safely destroy the explosive material. A possible tragedy was averted with the prompt action of the security men.
