Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Apr 28: Nagrota and Sidhra Police foiled bovines smuggling bids. As per police sources, teams from Police Station Nagrota and Police Post Sidhra laid check points in their respective jurisdictions a naka and intercepted three Kashmir bound vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 31 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested three persons, who were identified as Khurshied Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani of Assar Baggar District Doda, Rafaqat Hussain, son of Mohammad Kalu of Sidhra District Jammu and Mohammad Quyoom, son of Bashir Ahmed of Jagti District Jammu.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh and incharge Police Post PP Sidhra SI Majid Hussain foiled the bids under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
