RAJOURI, Dec 4: The police foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Rajouri area and seized a vehicle loaded with three cattle during early hours today.
Official sources said that a police team led by SHO Rajouri Abid Shah intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK11E-0621. The vehicle was coming from Rani Bhadtar towards Rajouri, and was found loaded with three bovine animals, intended for smuggling.
The police promptly seized the vehicle and arrested the accused Zulfikar Ali, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Rattal Chalas, Chingus.
A case FIR No. 530/2024 stands registered in this connection at Police Station Rajouri.
