RAJOURI, Apr 4: The police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling during naka checking at Khalsa Chowk in Rajouri area and seized a vehicle loaded with five cattle.
Reports said a police party from Rajouri during routine checking intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration No. JK11H-8171. During search vehicle was found loaded with five bovine animals which were being transported illegally without permission from the competent authority.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 149/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation has been taken up.
