RAMBAN, Sept 11: Police today foiled a bid to smuggle bovine animals and arrested one person. Four bovine animals were also rescued.
A police spokesman said that on the basis of specific information, a naka was laid near Sanasar road and one Shabir Ahmed, son of Faroz Din of Chenani, who was illegally transporting four bovine animals from Udhampur to Ramban, was arrested.
A case has been registered against him at Batote Police Station.
