JAMMU, Mar 13: Police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in Samba by rescuing four animals from the clutches of the smugglers.
A police official said that acting on reliable information, a team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba rescued four animals near Manohar Gopala area of Samba from the smugglers.
Accordingly, he said, a case FIR number 62/2026 under section 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation taken up.
