JAMMU, Feb 10: Jammu Police have successfully thwarted a bovine smuggling attempt in the Salora area of Jhajjar Kotli, rescuing four cattle and seizing the vehicle used in the transportation.
According to officials, a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JK14H-6958 was intercepted by a police team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli but the driver managed to flee from the scene.
Following the incident, a case has been registered under FIR Number 24/2025 at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli under sections 223, 299, 325, and 11 of the PCA Act. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
Further investigations are underway.
