UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: In a sustained drive against habitual bovine smugglers, Udhampur Police has attached property worth Rs 40 lakh (approximately) under the provisions of Section 107(5) BNSS.
During the course of investigation of case FIR number 46/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act of Police Station Majalta, it was found that the truck bearing registration number JK21B-4337 belonging to Rafqat Ali son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Dabriah, Udhampur was involved in the said case.
Following a detailed inquiry into the criminal record and financial transactions of the accused, it was revealed that the said vehicle had been acquired through illegally earned money. Accordingly, the Court of JMIC Majalta, Udhampur ordered its seizure and attachment under Section 107(5) BNSS.
