SRINAGAR, Nov 12: The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today announced the schedule for the distribution of free textbooks to students from Classes 1 to 8 for the 2025-26 academic session across the Kashmir Division.
According to a communication issued, the distribution process will begin on November 17 and continue till December 6, 2025.
The textbooks will be issued from the central textbook store at the JKBOSE New Campus, Bemina, Srinagar.
The Board has directed all Chief Education Officers to ensure that representatives from various education zones collect the books on their respective dates.
Zonal Education Officers have been asked to depute authorized representatives with formal authority letters for the collection.
The first phase of the distribution, from November 17 to November 29, will cover zones in Srinagar, Kulgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Ganderbal, and Bandipora districts.
The second phase, from December 1 to December 6, will cover zones in Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
The detailed schedule issued specifies the collection dates for each zone to streamline the process.
