BOSE Secy reviews ongoing exams, calls for vigil

Holds online meeting with branch offices

JAMMU, Mar 4: Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education chaired a meeting with the senior Board officers, taking stock of the urgent issues that require immediate attention.
The officers briefed that Annual Regular Examinations of all classes viz. 10th/11th /12th both for Hard and Soft Zone areas of UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh are underway. The Secretary urged all the officers and officials for maintaining a strict vigil on the performance of the examination centres and facilities provided to the student therein. “A positive and compassionate approach towards the students’ shall facilitate and enhance their performance,” he added.
The Secretary also convened an online meeting of all the officers of Sub / Branch Offices of the JKBOSE and directed them to put in all efforts in maintaining integrity of the examinations.
Later, he also held a virtual interaction with all the Chief Education Officers of all districts and sought their cooperation and collaborative efforts in ensuring smooth and transparent conduct of examinations. He also visited various sections of the Divisional Office, Jammu including the evaluation halls. Interacting with the staff and examiners he said that as assessment of students’ performance forms a critical step in their academic career so utmost care and caution is required while evaluating their answer sheets.
