Bootlegger held with 67 bottles of illicit liquor

JAMMU, Nov 5: Police today claimed they have arrested a bootlegger in Bishnah town and recovered 67 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on reliable information regarding illegal stocking of liquor for sale, a party of Police Station Bishnah conducted a raid at a suspected shop and seized 67 bottles of illicit liquor, a police official said.
Accordingly, the stockist, identified as Daleep Singh of Bishnah, Jammu was arrested on the spot with the seizure of the recovered liquor, he said.
According to the police official, the accused has been booked under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the entire operation was carried out by a police team led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Rakesh Jamwal under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
