JAMMU, Mar 20: A bootlegger was arrested with 30 bottles of illicit liquor in Kanachak area today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Kanachak led by SHO concerned Inspector Sham Lal while on patrolling duty at Mishriwala near Brick Kiln rounded up a suspected person.
During search of the suspected person, he said, 30 bottles of JK Special Whisky were recovered from his possession.
The accused identified as Parshotam Singh of Mishriwala, Jammu, has been accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 42/2024 under section 48(F) of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Kanachak and further investigation taken up.
