SAMBA, Oct 20: District Police Samba arrested one bootlegger under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Vijaypur and recovered 182 bottles and 144 nips of illicit liquor.
A police party of PS Vijaypur headed by Inspector, Rajinder Sharma, SHO Vijaypur under the close supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur, and on the directives of SSP, Samba, Dr Koshal Sharma during checking at Main Chowk, NHW Vijaypur intercepted one red color Santro Car bearing registration No. JK02AD-2120, which was on way to Gurha Morh, Vijaypur.
During search of the vehicle, 182 bottles (30 bottles of 750 ml, 48 bottles of 375 ml and 104 bottles of 180 ml each) and 144 nips of 250 ml each of illicit liquor were recovered from the car. The accused person was identified as Robin Singh Slathia, Son of Krishan Singh Slathia, of Gurha Morh W. No. 07 Vijaypur, was arrested and all the contraband items along with the vehicle involved were also seized.
