JAMMU, Oct 17: The Writers’ Group here today organized a literary function and released poetry book in Hindi ‘Sun Sako To Suno’ along with a song ‘Laal Suit’ in Dogri language.
The song ‘Laal Suit’ was sung by Mohan Atri.
The chief guest on this occasion was SSP Shailender Singh, Sahitya Akademi Awardee.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest appreciated the creative efforts of the poetess in a sweet language. Suman Pal, Principal and Chairperson of Mahila Kavya Manch, J&K was special guest.
Romalo Ram, Padma Shri and a noted folk artist of Dogra Pahari culture was also a special guest and he said that the song ‘Laal Suit’ was melodious.
Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri, Padma Shri and Sahitya Akademi Awardee presided over the function.
Poet Sheikh Mohd Kalyan read a detailed paper on the book. Author Anuradha Atri thanked all participants and audience and asked for their response after going through the book.
Mohan Atri, writer, singer and artist in the song paid gratitude to all. The event was conducted by senior broadcaster Ramesh Marhatta.
Divyanshi delivered welcomed address and Sunita Kumari presented vote of thanks.
