JAMMU, Nov 22: The book titled ‘My life, My Horizon’ by Nitu recorded its significant presence in ‘Jammu Book Fare’ organized at Kala Kendra here.
The book describes the lives of women from different fields and education who excelled in their respective fields despite various odds and challenges in lives. The world where women strives for their dignified representation in various fields, faces bravely the challenges in the society, reject the social curses, launch revolution against them, talk against female feticide, prove their existence in sports, give their challenging services in armed forces and prove their strength in many challenging fields and professions.
The book on one side discusses about the immense women power in different fields of life and on the other side bring to fore the message that ‘Women is empowered’.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nitu is a 1991 batch CRPF Officer who has rendered her services various parts of the country. Presently posted as DIG Jammu Range CRPF Nitu has been bestowed with various awards among which Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Internal Security Medal and Police Duty Medal are prominent. Besides serving in CRPF, she is associated with NGO working especially for street children, poor and backward people and widows, which reflects her sensibility towards social service.
Discussing the social activities and sensitive social issues, her many compositions have been published among which poetry composition ‘MeraapnaKshitij”, books “Half Life” and “AdhooreSpandhan” are prominent.
