UDHAMPUR, May 17: Body of a missing girl was found in decomposing condition from the waters of river Tawi this evening.
Police Station Chennani received information that dead body of an unknown girl was lying near Alleh Dabri of river Tawi after which SHO Chennani Anil Kumar rushed to the spot with a Police team and body of the deceased was fished out.
The deceased was identified as missing girl Rimpy Sharma, 22, daughter of Ashok Kumar of Sarad Lothad Sarar and she was missing since April 29, 2024.
An inquest U/S 174 Cr.PC has been initiated by the Police.
In other case wherein on April 29, 2024, a motorcyclist while crossing a diversion in Panchari road was hit by flash floods at Lander (Ucha-Pul) and got missing while the pillion rider was injured and identified as Anil Kumar, 30, son of Jagdish Raj, resident of Omara Morh, Udhampur.
Body of missing Suraj Gowasami, 31, resident of near PTC Udhampur was today received after 17 days and shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
