RAMBAN, July 12: Police here today recovered the dead body of a minor boy from the embankment of river Chenab in Kanteer, Nalla from Maitra area.
Police sources said that a semi-decomposed body was spotted by some people on the embankment of river Chenab and they informed cops.
On getting information Ramban Police and QRT teams reached the spot and took the body into their custody and shifted it to the mortuary of District Hospital Ramban for identification.
They said after recovery of the body messages were flashed to Doda Police Stations and later in the afternoon one Farooq Ahmad from Pul Doda visited District Hospital Ramban and identified the body as that of his son Mohd Abrar ul Haq, 11.
SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Vikram Parihar said after completing legal formalities the body was handed over to Farooq Ahmad following legal formalities.
