Srinagar, Apr 22: Police claimed to have fished out a body of a missing person from river Jehlum.
A police spokesman said a body has been fished from river Jehlum near Jety crossing in district Baramulla.
“The body was later identified as Anoop Singh son of Kulwant Singh of Shalpora, Rafiabad,” he said, adding the deceased was missing since April 10.
He said police has started investigation under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of the death.
