JAMMU, Aug 27: Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has criticized the Government for not considering the general demands of working class pertaining to Central and State Governments and resolved to observe all India strike on September 2 for an early implementation of their demands.
Addressing a joint press conference, Subash Verma, president and Ashok Choudhary general secretary of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh expressed deep concern over amending all Labour laws, unlimited FDI in public sector like Railway, Defence and in Financial sector. They also demanded strict enforcement of Labour Laws, social security to all, to take steps to curb price rise of essential commodities and create general employment, minimum wages and benefits for all regular workers.
Other demands highlighted were regarding declaring Government employees to all Anganwadi workers and helpers, pension scheme for all including un-organised sector workers. It was further demanded from the State Government to revise minimum wages of workers of Anganwari workers and helpers, regularsation of all kinds of daily rated workers who have completed five years service, disbursement of wages month wise to all type of workers in Government sector and medical allowance Rs 1000/- per month.
Others who addressed the press conference were Lakshman Ravinder Singh, Ishfaq Ahmed Chouhan, Harbans Choudhary, Chaman Lal Raina, Chanan Singh Toor, Vijay Chandel, N K Gupta, Sham Sunder Sharma, Shamsher Chand and Kartar Chand.
As per decision of National Convention of workers held under the joint platform of All Central Trade Unions of the country, it has been enjoined upon all trade unions in the country for observing all India strike on September 2. All the trade unions affiliated to Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh in Jammu and Kashmir State will also go on strike.
