BMS pays tribute to veteran trade union leader

JAMMU, Sept 13: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) J&K here today paid rich tribute to Sardar Lakshman Ravinder Singh during a function organised on his death anniversary and a number of senior BMS J&K leaders participated in it.
Speakers on this occasion said that Lakshman Ravinder Singh started BMS working in J&K in 1976 and today more than 40 Unions are functioning in J&K under the umbrella of BMS.
“Lakshman Ravinder Singh Ji always stood with the poor and downtrodden section of the society and worked for the welfare of poor working class till his last breath and he left this immortal world on September 13, 2019,” they said adding: “He had given smiles on the face of deprived workers and was the first person who advocated the implementation of ESI scheme in J&K in 1985-86 and succeeded in doing so 1989.”
In the memory of Ravinder Singh, a parsad distribution programme was organized for the public at Parade, Jammu in which Dev Parkash, State president BMS; Neelam Sharma, State general secretary; Ashok Choudhary, Mukesh Kumar, Chanan Singh Toor, Harbans Choudhary, Naseeb Singh, Sachin Bali, Vikas Khajuria, Subash Chander, Ramesh Lal, Ravi Hans, Anil Kumar, Neena Sharma, Rajni Jamwal, Shoba Sharma, Bua Ditta and many others participated.
